Code::Blocks for C++ does not include gcc on Linux, so installation is a two-step process. First you will need to install gcc. Then you can install Code::Blocks.

Installing Code::Blocks
Fortunately for all concerned, an Ubuntu-ready version of Code::Blocks is available in the Ubuntu Software Center. Many other versions of Linux include something similar to the Software Center. Follow these steps to install Code::Blocks:
- Click on the Software Center icon on the Ubuntu desktop.
- Select Code::Blocks from the list of available software.This will start the installation process.Code::Blocks searches your hard drive for your C++ compiler. It should be able to find it without a problem, but if it doesn’t, then execute the following steps.
- Start Code::Blocks.
- Select Settings→Compiler.
- Select the Compiler Flags tab.
- Make sure that the following three flags are selected, as shown in this figure:
- Enable All Compiler Warnings
- Have g++ Follow the Coming C++0x ISO C++ Language Standard
- Have g++ Follow the C++11 ISO C++ Language Standard
- Select the Toolchain Executables tab.
- Select the “…” button.
- Navigate to /usr, unless you installed your gcc compiler someplace other than the default location of /user/bin.
- The “C compiler” should be gcc, the “C++ compiler” should be g++ and the “Linker for dynamic libs” should be g++.
- Select OK to close the dialog box.

Run flutter doctor

Update path directly
In some cases, your distribution may not permanently acquirethe path when using the above directions. When this occurs,you can change the environment variables file directly.These instructions require administrator privileges:

file with root privileges. - Update the PATH string with the location of yourFlutter SDK directory.
- End the current session or reboot your system.

Android setup
Note: Flutter relies on a full installation of Android Studio to supply its Android platform dependencies. However, you can write your Flutter apps in a number of editors; a later step will discuss that.
Install Android Studio
- Download and install Android Studio.
- Start Android Studio, and go through the ‘Android Studio Setup Wizard’.This installs the latest Android SDK, Android SDK Command-line Tools,and Android SDK Build-Tools, which are required by Flutterwhen developing for Android.
Warning: The best auto tune app for android. In Android Studio 3.6 or later, you need to manually add the old version of the Android SDK Tools for Flutter to work. To do this:
- Open the Android Studio SDK Manager
- In the Android SDK tab, uncheck Hide Obsolete Packages

Set up your Android device

To prepare to run and test your Flutter app on an Android device,you’ll need an Android device running Android 4.1 (API level 16) or higher.
- Enable Developer options and USB debugging on your device.Detailed instructions are available in theAndroid documentation.
- Windows-only: Install the Google USBDriver.
- Using a USB cable, plug your phone into your computer. If prompted on yourdevice, authorize your computer to access your device.
- In the terminal, run the

command to verify thatFlutter recognizes your connected Android device. By default,Flutter uses the version of the Android SDK where youradb

Set up the Android emulator
To prepare to run and test your Flutter app on the Android emulator,follow these steps:
- EnableVM accelerationon your machine.
- Launch Android Studio > Tools > Android > AVD Manager and selectCreate Virtual Device. (The Android submenu is only presentwhen inside an Android project.)
- Choose a device definition and select Next.
- Select one or more system images for the Android versions you wantto emulate, and select Next.An x86 or x86_64 image is recommended.
- Under Emulated Performance, select Hardware - GLES 2.0 to enablehardwareacceleration.
- Verify the AVD configuration is correct, and select Finish.For details on the above steps, see ManagingAVDs.
- In Android Virtual Device Manager, click Run in the toolbar.The emulator starts up and displays the default canvas for yourselected OS version and device.
Web setup
Note: As of 1.12, Flutter has early support for running web applications, but you need to be running the beta channel of Flutter. If you experience a problem that hasn’t yet been reported, please file an issue and make sure that “web” appears in the title.
